In September 2007 we welcomed our new minister Reverend Freddie Takavarasha to lead us forward in our mission. We are also very pleased that his wife has chosen to become a member at our church and become part of our church family and house group. We appreciate the pressures put on Freddie as a probationer minister but we are also excited by his ideas for moving the church forward.
This year is the tenth anniversary of the opening of the new building at Bolton and to celebrate we have a number of events planned. We started in January with a celebration meal for all the people who attend our church.
During the year we have invited preachers who have been part of our journey and these include Revd David Priestnall in March and the chairman of the district, Revd Peter Whittaker, in May. We are in the process of inviting other preachers to be part of this process.
We are having a bring-a-friend to church Sunday on 27th April and plan a summer celebration in June and an African Sunday in August.
As part of our Hope Bradford volunteering we are looking at the possibility of have a drop in week for young people from 27th May 2008.
We are also looking to start a pram service for younger children and their parents to take place once every half term during the day time.
Both of these ideas are in the planning stage and we ask your prayers that they come to fruition.
