Rev Joy Rulton (Northcliffe LEP, Allerton together with Great Horton with Lidget Green Methodist/United Reformed Church in Bradford South)To 31 August 2011
I never did take a good photo! I was an Essex girl, (believe me; I’ve heard all the jokes) – before adopting the north of England as our home. I worked with children with special needs in a primary school before becoming a minister. My training was ecumenical, after which we moved to Cumbria in 1999, to a very rural circuit, working there during the Foot and Mouth crisis of 2001. We came to Bradford in 2004. I’m married to Bryan and we have three children. Simon and Chris, together with our daughter-in-law, Katherine, live with us and we have a daughter, Danielle, in Dundee. I’m looking forward to working across both Bradford circuits and the challenges it will bring.
Beth Ashton - Circuit AdministratorAugust 2009 - August 2010
I’m Beth Ashton, the Circuit Administrator based at Baildon Methodist Church. I’m a member at Eldwick Methodist Church so I’ll be a link between the Bradford North and Airedale circuits during this period of change. I recently graduated from Durham University having studied French, German and Italian and now that I’m home I can’t wait to be more involved in the life of the church outside of my role as an administrator. In my spare time I love going to the cinema and seeing my friends, and I can’t wait to get to know everyone in the new Bradford North circuit.
Pamela HustlerSeptember 2009 - August 2011
My name is Pamela Hustler and I live with my husband Eddie. We have five children, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.; My “paid” working life was as a legal secretary. In my leisure time I enjoy reading, gardening, ballroom dancing and Sudoku. We have worshipped at Haworth Road for many years where I am Secretary to the Finance & Property Committee, Envelope Secretary and The Leprosy Mission representative, and am particularly involved when catering is required. For the last two years I have served as a Circuit Steward and am looking forward to continuing in our new Circuit.
Ruth WhitfieldSeptember 2009 - August 2011
I grew up in the Shipley & Bingley Circuit at what was then Hall Royd Methodist Church (now Northcliffe LEP). I was also a member of Hall Royd Band for some twenty odd years; Some of you will know me as John Nixon's daughter as my late father was a local preacher with over 40 years' service. Some of you may have even heard me preach as I spent 5 years "on trial" in the Shipley & Bingley Circuit; a full-time job and two babies got in the way of completing my training. Those babies are now teenagers, and I'm still working full-time as an educational developer at the University of Bradford. I'm now a member of Thackley Methodist Church where I'm worship leader, organist and Church Council secretary.
